In a continued effort to introduce diversity through activity to our youth, RTB launched an Outdoor Adventure Education Program for youth ages 9-17 years old. This program cover themes like developing an appreciation for the outdoors, fostering a desire to conserve wildlife and habitat, and improving self-worth and overall well-being. Kids are exposed to unfamiliar and challenging tasks, such as fishing, hunting, CPR/first aid, survival skills, outdoor cooking, and camping. Through specialized skill development, self-confidence is built, and that is one of the best defenses against unhealthy peer-pressure. The outdoors can challenge kids to acquire new abilities even when they are unaware that the process is occurring. Planning, group participation, physical exertion, humility, and thinking on your feet all help develop skills that our next generation can use every day.
