Michael Mosby, born February 23, 1983 in Memphis, TN. Married to Shunta Mosby and a father of 4, Madison, Mitch, Mikayla, and Micah (his beloved angel). Mosby grew up in a single parent home in which his mom raised him and his brothers. At an early age Mosby took a high interest in sports, especially football. Growing up in a musically incline family, Mosby found music as a great habit. In 2003, Mosby began his motivation speaking to middle and high schools in his hometown. He traveled across the country telling his story, motivating young people to make positive choices. In 2005, Mosby started a life skills program that was implemented in Memphis City Schools. The program then became a full nonprofit organization called Raising The BAR Community Development. He discovered that his passion was to see youth being redirected and transformed from a path of negativity into a bright future. Mosby became a mentor to many young men using his passion and talent, football and music. He started coaching a little league football team and started a music production program after relocating to Atlanta, GA. Mosby obtained great success in youth development programming while in Atlanta. After a personal matter, he relocated back home and rebooted Raising The BAR in the community in which he was raised in. His organization is currently operating in that community! Mosby is currently, the Head Football Coach of Oakhaven High School of Memphis. He has recently been selected as one of the coaches for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Nike 11- On football Summer Camp. Mosby aims to expand Raising The BAR and his motivation speaking throughout the city of Memphis and surrounding areas, ultimately nationwide! His message to world is “Make Moves That Count”.
